Austin Peay starts their postseason play today taking on a team much better know for it’s football prowess than their basketball skills, Boise St. Much like the NIT, the CBI is home and away for the first rounds, meaning the Governors are on the road taking on the 2nd place team out of the WAC.

The biggest story for this game is the status of AP’s leading scorer, TyShawn Edmondson. He is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game, and given this is the CBI, and Edmondson is just a junior, it’s extremely unlikely he’ll be on the court.

Peay is much more rested than the Broncos; The Govs haven’t played in 12 days. The WAC, despite being a mid major, plays a late tournament: The Broncos played just Saturday.

Boise State likes to score, averaging over 73 PPG, and their guards are great at forcing turnovers, forcing more than 17 a game. One of those star guards is La’Shard Anderson, the Broncos’ leading scorer with 15.5 PPG.

Boise went hot at the end of the year, winning their last 5 conference contests, and making it to the WAC final before losing to Utah State.
