The Racers are getting a jump on next year’s recruiting with 2 commitments Sunday.

Evan Daniels of Scout.com tweeted the pickups:

Murray State just picked up a commitment from Zay Henderson, a 6’8, 225 post from Neville High School.

Murray State just picked up their 2nd commitment of the day. 6’7 fwd Erik McCree is the latest commit. From Winter Garden (Fla.) W Orange

Scout.com rates Henderson as a 2-star center. As a junior, Henderson averaged just under 13 points a game, but over 10 rebound and 3 blocks a contest at Neville High School in Louisiana.

McCree averaged 14 points, and just under 7 rebounds a game as a junior at West Orange High School in Florida. Surprisingly, being 6’8″, McCree averaged less than a block per game. (.7)

Blurb from Rivals.com about McCree:

A physical forward, McCree handles the ball well has both a slasher and a passer. The left hander is also capable of making shots from behind the arc. As a 2012 prospect he has a legitimate shot at being a high major prospect.
