Tennessee State senior forward Kenny Moore has been suspended indefinitely for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

This announcement came Tuesday night in a press release from the school.

The full release, which is below, mentions that Moore will graduate in December, a statement which leads me to believe that it’s possible Moore will not return.

From a purely basketball standpoint, this is a big loss to the team. Moore was named the OVC’s all-newcomer last season, averaging 14.5 points and 6.9 rebounds a game. His production had fallen some so far this year, averaging just 8.7 points and 3.5 rebounds a game for the struggling Tigers.

Moore did not play in the Tigers game Saturday against Morgan State.

Here is the full statement from head coach John Cooper:

“Kenny Moore has been suspended indefinitely due to conduct detrimental to the team. He is strong young man and has accomplished a lot during his short tenure here at Tennessee State. We will continually work with Kenny to help him get back on track. Kenny is a bright young man, who will graduate in December and that should be of utmost importance for him at this time.”
