One of the longer trips the Racers will take all season lands them in Charleston, Illinois, facing an Eastern Illinois squad still perfect at home this season.

Tip off at 7:00. Coverage will be on Twitter @OVCBall, and you can watch the game tonight on ESPN3.

Some notes heading into tonight’s game:

  • EIU head coach Mike Miller told the Journal Gazette and Times Courier that this hasn’t been a great week of preparation. It’s not what you necessarily want to hear heading into a matchup against an undefeated team. Why the bad week? Nick McFarlin and Josh Piper have been out with illness, and James Hollowell is still sidelined with back trouble.
  • The Racers and Panthers are the top 2 scoring teams in the OVC, both averaging over 73 points a game, so don’t be surprised to see a high scoring affair.
  • If it comes down to a battle from the FT line (which is unlikely, as both teams are generally at avoiding fouls) neither team really has an advantage. Both teams are in the top-20 in the nation in free-throw shooting, hitting more than 75% from the charity stripe.
