CBS’s yearly love song to the NCAA Tournament is always the final goodbye to a great season of college basketball. And many Murray fans are upset that they’re missing from the 3:00 swan song.
Okay, I hear what you’re saying about being the last undefeated. But you were out in the 2nd round of the tourney. And neither of your tourney games were particulary “flashy.” One Shining Moment has never been about the best storylines of the season. It’s about the best images of the tournament.
And as much as I loved the Racers run, I’m not shocked they didn’t make it. And I’m okay with that.
Look, you weren’t the only team that didn’t get their due. The best image of the tournament has to be Kyle O’Quinn singing One Shining Moment during a press conference. That happened off the court, and because of that, it didn’t make it.
The CBS editor has to compress 67 teams, and 67 games into 3 minutes.
I understand you want to see the Racers in everything.
I’m sure Colorado State’s fans are upset as well that they were left out. But it’s okay to be left out every once in awhile. And yes, I fully expect to be ripped apart in the comments for saying that.
I also think you shouldn’t be upset that you’re left out of a Top 25 done the day the season ended. But I’m sure that you are, and that’s what makes you good, passionate fans.
