Eric Sean of KZIM in Cape Girardeau is reporting that SEMO freshman power forward Nino Johnson has decided to return to the Redhawks after all. This news comes just a few weeks after it was announced that Johnson was transferring to Northeast Mississippi Community College.

First off, in the end this is good news for SEMO. Johnson, as mentioned previously, was a sought after freshman coming out of high school, and even though he seemingly underachieved his freshman year behind one of, if not the best starting front court in the OVC, he clearly is capable of being a great player.

Why he wanted to transfer in the first place remains a mystery, one we may never solve…
