Highly touted (and covered) Ohio State transfer Jaamal Berry still has some working out to do, it seems.
Talking to WPSD Local 6, Murray State head coach Chris Hatcher says Berry is still behind Duane Brady, and junior WR Jordan Morrow on the depth chart.
“When he gets ready to go, we’ll see what he can do,” Hatcher told Local 6. “He’s a little bit behind on the learning curve. It’s been a little while since he’s played, but we hope he turns into something that can give those other two guys a run for their money.”
Local 6 says that this past Monday, Berry did not participate in team drills, instead working on conditioning.
With the season approaching in just over a week, it’s heavily unlikely Berry sees much, if any, playing time against Murray State’s only FBS opponent this season, Florida State.
