Austin Peay’s team last year looked very little like the dominant teams we’re used to seeing from Dave Loos.
This year team is stacking up to look nothing like last year’s team. And that’s probably a good thing.
College Basketball Talk is reporting that former guard Justin Blake is leaving the program, and heading to a nearby NAIA program, Martin Methodist. That’s the program former APSU Assistant Scott Combs took over earlier this year.
Blake started 9 games as a freshmen, but has seen his playing time fall every year since. Last year, Blake shot less than 30% from the field, and averaged just over 3 points a contest.
Blake told the Leaf-Chronicle, “It’s an opportunity and I think it’s going to be a good fit. I can tell in Justin’s eyes that just to have an opportunity to play and continue his schooling means a lot.”
