After remaining silent about the arrest of his sophomore guard, Murray State head coach Steve Prohm had little choice at OVC Media Day but to address the issue.

“His status right now is suspended indefinitely,” Prohm said. “We’ll let the judicial system run its course which has not happened yet. There’s still more to the story that has not been added yet. I love Zay and support him. As a coach I know more than anyone else knows and there are things that haven’t been said about the situation and my hope is that this all gets worked out in the end.”

While Prohm says there’s “more to the story,” he would not elaborate on what that information actually is, nor did he seem to indicate that information would be released. With Jackson yet to be officially sentenced, it’s not wholly surprising. I will be curious to see if that information will be presented once the legal case has run its course.
