Isaac McGlone, a 6-foot-2 guard from Lancaster, Ohio, has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play basketball at Eastern Kentucky University, head coach Jeff Neubauer announced today. McGlone will enter the program as a freshman in the fall of 2013.
“Isaac is a complete guard,” said Neubauer. “He is an exceptional deep shooter who has vision and the ability to defend. Isaac will make all of his teammates better.”
As a junior at Bloom-Carroll High School, McGlone averaged 16.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. He shot 40 percent from behind the three-point line and 79 percent at the free throw line.
McGlone earned several honors following the 2011-12 season. He was named the Ohio Division III State Player of the Year and Division III Central District Player of the Year. In addition, he was chosen first team all-metro by the Columbus Dispatch and player of the year by the Lancaster Eagle Gazette.
Bloom-Carroll ended the season with a 23-1 record and ranked No. 1 in the final state poll.

EKU continues play in Comfort Suites Invitational this weekend. Five teams will combine for seven games in four days. The Colonels will play Kennesaw State at 6 p.m. on Friday. They will face Towson at 6 p.m. on Saturday. EKU takes on Radford on Sunday at 5 p.m.
