Two weeks left in the regular season for the Ohio Valley Conference and most school’s in the conference and turned their focus to the courts for their entertainment. However there are still a few games that can have huge impacts on who makes it to the FCS playoffs and one that was a preseason game of the year candidate. . While we don’t see the crazy matchups that we saw last weekend, there are still a few possible upsets to watch. Here is your first word.

Southeast Missouri 3-6 (2-4) at Eastern Illinois 6-3 (5-1)

On paper this game should be an easy game for one side, but games aren’t played on paper. This has trap game written all over it folks. Eastern Illinois is coming off a huge victory at Tennessee Tech and next week the will play a FCS playoff team. The Panthers need to bulk up on defense for one more game in order to finish the season with a shot at the OVC championship. A win and they will finish with one, yes only one loss in the conference. Expect to see the Panthers to continue to feed star wide receiver Erik Lora the ball, as he is now just

Murray State 4-5 (3-3) at Eastern Kentucky 7-3 (5-2)

Both teams are coming off huge wins following tough losses the week before. While this game doesn’t mean much for now this is one of the games that we said would be one to watch at  the beginning of the season. Racers quarterback Casey Brockman is closing in on 10000 career passing yards and while we don’t see it happening against the Colonel defense it will be something to watch. Also this game features another contender to the OVC Player of the Year, running back Matt Denham.

UT Martin 7-2 (5-1) at Tennessee Tech 2-7 (0-6)

Every week there needs to be an upset alert game and this has it written in bright lights. Just like Eastern Illinois, the Skyhawks could be looking forward to next week’s showdown against Tennessee State who is finally on bye. The Golden Eagles have lead at halftime against Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois. However Derek Carr seems unstoppable now and the defense should rebound as they will be facing a passing team and will be prepared. We all know that the Gamecocks who usually run the ball felt more comfortable throwing rather than running against the Skyhawks D.

Austin Peay 1-8 (0-6) at Jacksonville State 5-4 (4-3)

Senior Day for the Gamecocks and this senior class has been a great one for the program. They are playing the perfect opponent for the occasion but we could, i mean could, see a little bit of carry over from the previous week that saw the Governors light up the score board. But don’t be surprised if the normal Gamecock offense and defense shows up early on the senior day and ends it possibly in the first half.
