Mushatt could return in late December
There’s good news for Murray State fans on injured forward LaTreze Mushatt. WPSD Local 6 is reporting that Mushatt’s recovery is moving ahead of schedule, and the senior could return to the floor by the end of the year.
Mushatt tore his ACL in July, and wasn’t expected to be back on the roster until January or possible February.
The Racers could use the depth in their frontcourt. Ed Daniel and Brandon Garrett have played extended minutes, and Garrett has gotten into foul trouble on a few occasions this year. Outside of Daniel, the Racers have struggled on the glass, allowing 13 and 15 offensive rebounds respectively to Lipscomb and Old Dominion in their last two contests.
Mushatt only scored 4 points a game last year, coming off the bench most of the season, but also pulled down almost five rebounds a game.
OVC play for the Racers begins January 3rd, when the Racers travel to UT Martin.
