UT Martin’s Terence Smith played less than a minute Sunday against Cincinnati before leaving the game with an apparent ankle injury. According to the school, that injury is a broken ankle.
There is currently no official timetable for his return, although a broken ankle often takes between 9-12 weeks to heal, but that time can fluctuate depending on the severity.
Smith missed all of last season after collapsing during a preseason practice. He was later diagnosed with a heart ailment.
UT Martin takes the floor tomorrow against non Division-I opponent Fontbonne.
