TSU’s Covington to miss games, but no MRI scheduled on knee
It’s already been a rough season for Tennessee State, but last night’s injury to Robert Covington with less than a minute to good has many fans fearing things will turn from bad to worse.
The good news: it doesn’t appear the injury is serious. But it will likely force the senior to miss at least one game, according to The Tennessean.
Covington will not have an MRI on his knee, which showed no signs of ligament damage according to the paper. But Covington did not practice with the team this morning, and is not expected to play against South Carolina Upstate this Friday.
The Tigers have eight days off for Christmas after this Friday’s game. It is expected Covington will return in time for OVC play.
