Murray State has just landed another big name transfer. According to Source Hoops, a site that covers basketball in Florida, South Georgia and South Alabama, is reporting that Clemson guard T.J. Sapp is transferring to Murray State.
Sapp, a sophomore for Clemson, played in 30 games as a freshman, and started all six this season before deciding to transfer. Sapp finished the fall semester, as is not enrolled in school this semester.
A 6’3″ guard, Sapp was just shooting 31% from the field, and 28% from 3-point range in 36 games with the Tigers, in the middle of a considerable shooting slump since the middle of last year. Sapp played on average 15 minutes a game in his 37 appearances.
Coming out of high school, Sapp was a 3-star prospect according to Scout.com. Sapp will have two years of eligibility remaining.
