After spending the past few weeks in the NBA D-League, Kevin Murphy is heading back to the Utah Jazz. Bill Oram of the Salt Lake Tribune says Jazz general manager has confirmed that the Jazz has recalled Murphy.
The move comes after recent injuries to starters Mo Williams and Marvin Williams.
Murphy, the No. 47 overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft, averaged 13 points for Reno during a six-week stint. The Jazz assigned the 6-6, 185-pound guard to Reno on Nov. 26.
Oram tweeted yesterday that the Jazz are thrilled with Murphy’s improvement:
Jazz were impressed by Murphy’s development and maturation in six weeks in Reno. Obviously in need of perimeter depth after injuries.
