National signing day is less than a month away, and a Western Kentucky standout defensive end is possibly up for grabs. WPSD Local 6 is reporting that Murray High product LaBront Scott has decommitted from WKU, and could land at either Murray State or UT Martin, although other schools in play.
Western Kentucky made a splash with their hiring of Bobby Petrino, and according to Scott, Petrino took the offer off the table. Scott added he was considering decommitting himself, but Petrino did it before he could.
Scott, who is recovering from a torn achilles, has offers from Arkansas State, as well as the Racers and Skyhawks. FBS schools, including Purdue and Middle Tennessee are showing interest, but Scott says he would prefer to play at the FCS level.
