Oomf. This one might hurt a bit, Racer Nation.
4-star prospect Demarcus Croaker has decommitted from Murray State, and is believed to be on the verge of committing to play with the Texas Longhorns. According to multiple reports, the Longhorns have recently re-intensified their efforts to land the recruit.
On his twitter account, (@Dcroaker5) Croaker says he will be attending the Longhorns game against Baylor on Monday.
Texas and Murray State were considered to be Croaker final two schools when he chose Murray State in December.
This would obviously be a huge loss for the Racers, who were hoping Croaker would eventually be a good fit to fill the hole left when Isaiah Canaan leaves after this season.
His decommittment doesn’t necessarily mean Murray State is out of the running, but it doesn’t look good. Multiple recruiting sites are saying Texas is now the favorite to pick up one of the top-30 ranked shooting guards in the nation, according to Rivals.
