The Cincinnati Bengals have picked up former EKU wide receiver Tyrone Goard as an unrestricted free agent.
Goard put up very productive numbers playing a part of the Colonel offense for three years finishing his career with 100 receptions for 1842 yards and 24 touchdowns. Goard’s best production came in 2011 when he earned second team All-OVC honors for 39 catches for 627 yards and 11 touchdowns.
NFL scouts raved on the the 6’7 receiver and believe with some more weight he could become a very productive player at the next level, but no team pulled the trigger on Goard during this weekend’s draft.
He is the the first Colonel to join an NFL team since Antwaun Molden was drafted in 2008 by the Houston Texans in the third round.
