To the 4,000 in attendance for “J-Day” today at Jacksonville State, many were happy to see head coach Bill Clark‘s new up-tempo offense.

For Clark, he was happy to see no one got hurt.

“I think organizationally it is what we want,” Clark said. “I’m pleased we came away with no major injuries; with us being a little banged up it was a big concern, but we made it through.

“I saw good individual effort,” Clark added. “I was definitely pleased with the crowd tonight, the band was there and all those good things, so I definitely think it was a good night.”

The White team scored all of its points during the second quarter to claim a 17-13 win over the Red to conclude JSU’s first spring practice under Clark.
