The Denver Nuggets say tests on Faried’s ankle are negative. They’re calling it a “severe ankle sprain,” and that Faried is day-to-day. Good news for the Nuggets, who lost Danilo Gallinari to a torn ACL last week.
Former OVC standout Kenneth Faried has been having an amazing sophomore year in the NBA for the Denver Nuggets, but it Faried may not be around for a playoff run. The former Morehead State star was helped off the floor during the first quarter on Sunday as the Nuggets were playing the Portland Trail Blazers.
CBS Sports reports it’s a “severe ankle injurt.” Faried will undergo x-rays on his ankle. Chris Dempsey, a writer for the Denver Post, says looking at the replay, it’s most likely an ankle sprain.
Faried is averaging just under 12 points and over nine rebounds a contest.
