Former Eastern Illinois DL Roosevelt Holliday has signed with the New York Jets, according to a tweet from Eastern Illinois Athletics official twitter account.
Holliday played in every game for four years at Eastern Illinois, starting in 31 contests for the Panthers. His senior year, Holliday registered 58 tackles, sixth most in the OVC and one sack. The 6’3″ 297-pound lineman was named second team all-OVC as a senior.
Holliday reportedly received some interest from NFL teams heading into this year’s draft, but was not one of the 254-players selected.
The Jets are one of the first teams to hold a minicamp for rookies, holding theirs next weekend, May 4-6.
