Southeast Missouri has added shooting guard Antonius Cleveland on the opening day of the NCAA’s spring signing period.
Cleveland, a 6’5″ shooting guard, stood just 5’8″ two years ago. This past season, he averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five assists at Faith Baptist, a prep school in Atlanta, Georgia.
“We are extremely pleased that Antonius is joining our program,” said Southeast head coach Dickey Nutt. “This is a young man who has grown considerably over the last 18 months and one thing he can really do well is score the basketball. He is very athletic and is also a good student.”
Cleveland received additional Division I interest from South Florida, Florida International, Seattle University, Appalachian State, Jacksonville, Georgia State and Hofstra.
Southeast Missouri says in a press release they will likely sign one or two more players prior to the 2013-14 season.
