SIU Edwardsville has added their first signee of the signing season. According to a tweet from SIUE assistant coach Matt Laur, the Cougars have added 6’9″ forward Keaton Jackson. The addition will give the Cougars two players on their roster listed at 6’9″ or taller.

Jackson is a JUCO transfer from Missouri State University at West Plains. Last year, Jackson scored 7.2 points per game, shooting 55% from the field. Jackson also pulled down 8.5 rebounds a game.

Jackson’s hometown is quite a far way from Edwardsville, in Vancouver, Washington.

On the Missouri State-West Plains profile of Jackson, the school asked him some to respond to questions about himself. His least favorite rule in basketball? Goaltending. Not surprising from a 6’9″ forward.
