As the ongoing legal battle between Tennessee State and the family of Wayne Jones III continues, the school has responded to the claims made against them.
According to the Tennessean, the school has denied responsibility for the death, and denies there were “unreasonable” delays in their care of Jones III, a charge leveled by the parents.
As for many of the other charges, TSU didn’t provide much of a response, except to call them “hearsey”
The parents are seeking $5 million dollars in damages against the school. They’ve filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the school.
With legal action pending, it’s no surprise that the school is staying tight lipped. Likely more details about the incident will be released if it does go to trial.
