[Updated 8:10 p.m.] So much for teammates reunited. According to Hoopsworld reporter Alex Kennedy, Ed Daniel will play for the Hawks’ summer league team. He decided to join Atlanta over Houston.
According to Racers head coach Steve Prohm, Daniel chose the Hawks because they provided a better opportunity for the forward.
[Original Story 11:00 a.m.] This may sound familiar, but I promise this is not a repeat.
According to Michael Grant of the Courier-Journal Murray State’s Ed Daniel has signed a free-agent contract with the Houston Rockets, making him the third OVC player picked up by the organization in the past 24 hours. Houston selected Isaiah Canaan with the 34th pick in the NBA Draft, and signed Robert Covington to a free agent contract worth approximately $150,000
No word on the value of Daniel’s contract at this time.
According to Murray State head coach Steve Prohm, Daniel’s professional career will begin with summer league play in Orlando.
Not that this was in question before now, but I now have to buy at least some Rockets gear, right?
