The spring signing period ended more than two week ago, but Jacksonville State has finally lifted the veil on their signees. Joining D.J. Felder in this year’s class will be Randall Smith, Undra Mitchum, and Earnest Hunter.
Smith, a 6’0″(or 5’10” according to some sites) guard from Archer High School in Lawrenceville Georgia, verbally committed back in September to the Gamecocks. Smith tallied over 400 career assists, and scored over 1,000 points in his senior season.
“Randall is an outstanding player and fierce competitor, but an even better young man,” Archer boys basketball coach Tim Watkins told RealGM. “We are very fortunate to have had him help build the Archer program and are extremely proud of him.”
A highlight video of Smith is posted below.
Mitchum is a 6’2″ guard from Leesburg High School in Florida, was a two-sport star in high school, playing quarterback for Leesburg as well as point guard. Mitchem averaged 15.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists as a senior, and signed during the November signing period.
According to Max Preps, Mitchum was a top-20 ranked player out of the competitive state of Florida.

The tallest of the bunch, Hunter is a 6’8″ center transferring from East Mississippi Community College. He averaged eight points and six rebounds a game for the lions a year ago, while shooting 59% from the floor. Hunter will have two years of eligibility remaining.
