The long list of transfers for Sean Woods at Morehead State could get a tiny bit smaller as The Charlotte Observer is reporting Morehead State transfer Demario Mayfield has been indicted on an armed robbery charge dating back to a May 27 incident.
According to the police report Mayfield and another man were arrested and were acting suspiciously and were found to have handguns, masks and globes. When officers approached the car Mayfield has a gun between his leg and the seat, a marijuana bud and a second handgun holding a magazine loaded with 9 mm bullets.
An indictment was filed Tuesday charges Mayfield and Richardo James Crawford with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, loitering or prowling, and possession of marijuana. Mayfield was released after posting $11,200 bond.
This is not the first time Mayfield, who is played for Charlotte last season, has been in trouble. While at Charlotte he was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession in 2012 but the charges were later dropped. He was the leading scorer for the 49ers but was kicked off the team for violating team rules.
