If it feels like a lot of posts have started with the words “Morehead State adds” this offseason, you’re right. The Eagles have added another forward to their roster, true freshman Greg Dotson.

Dotson, from Germantown Academy in Pennsylvania, earned all-district accolades as a senior after averaging a 16.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks for the Patriots.

“Our staff is excited about the addition of Greg,” head coach Sean Woods said.  “He brings an electrifying style to our program, plus great athleticism and toughness as a true freshman.  Our fans will certainly enjoy watching Greg in an Eagle uniform.”

For a 6’5″ guy, there’s no doubt Dotson has a great vertical, from the highlight video above. Dotson won the 2013 Scouts Focus Elite MD dunk contest, and it’s not hard to see why.

“Greg’s potential is off the charts — and we’re looking forward to working with him,” Woods said.  “He’s a young man who can bring a lot to the table for us.  Greg is strong, runs well and has a nice feel for the game.  He should also fit our style very well.”
