One of the big question marks of the offseason for Tennessee State has been quarterback Michael German. Following a felony vandalism charge and being academically ineligible, there was a lot of question whether TSU would need a new starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
One of those issues is officially resolved.
According to the Tennessean, the vandalism charges against German has been dropped, clearing his potential legal trouble. As for his academic, German finishes summer school today, although the paper previously reported the school might not fully know his academic status until August 12th.
German could begin practicing with the team as soon as tomorrow.
We’ve made a lot of hay on the site about so many OVC teams losing quarterbacks, and it has to be seen as a positive if the Tigers can have German under center when the season gets underway.
