The Panthers don't miss an extra point, throw for over 400 yards against the best defense in the nation, and their quarterback breaks the single season passing touchdown record. They are good and should be in the national championship discussions.

We all knew that the team relied too heavily on it's defense to keep the team games and even score. The Tigers two losses this season have been the best you can get though, with both teams ranked in the FCS polls. The return of Michael German is much needed for the Tigers passing offense as last week's game demonstrated.

The Colonels have had an easy stretch since falling to EIU and with that we are still concerned about the team. The Colonels have found a running game with J.J. Jude but we haven't seen it be consistent for back-to-back games, this week they take on TSU so expect another down week.

The Gamecocks continue to win but we are starting to get concerned about how many healthy bodies they have! Good think Head Coach Bill Clark had a quarterback competition this season as he is down to just one fully healthy quarterback in Kyle West.

With the defense for the Skyhawks being called into question, UTM is going to continue to rely on running back D.J. McNeil and wide receiver Jeremy Butler to have career games every week. Dylan Favre's return might happen this week in a limited role, Skyhawks need him badly.

Coming off a much needed bye week, the Racers still made the news. That being said maybe the defense has improved in two weeks since we last saw them. The Racers did find a running game the last time we saw them and it will continue to be needed as the Racers enter the hardest November in recent memory.

The Redhawks continue to be a work in progress as they fell once again, with turnovers being the main contributor. The Redhawks have shown much improvement the past month and have the easiest schedule remaining in the conference. Great time to build momentum for next season right?

The Golden Eagles used just one quarterback this past weekend, something we haven't been able to report nearly all season. While Darian Stone played, he wasn't impressive at all and nearly ran more than he threw the ball.

Just as the future looks bright for the Governors, their biggest weapon senior running back Tim Phillips suffers a season-ending injury. The young weapons continue to get improve in losses and putting up double digits is a great start for Austin Peay.
