The best offense in the nation goes to battle this weekend and their biggest weakness could cost the Panthers their perfect run through the conference. Taking on a great defense you wonder how many points the offense can afford to leave on the field at the PAT mark.

The best defense in the nation goes to battle this weekend and their biggest weakness could be their own offense. The defense put up more points than the offense this past weekend and is sixth in the conference but second in scoring.

The losses this season have looked bad for the Colonels which has me wondering who they are but they still get victories. Yes the loss the EIU rings in the minds of all who watch the Colonels and they aren't what a typical EKU team is, but only one loss in conference play is one loss.

An injured Dylan Favre makes me wonder what becomes of the Skyhawks this year. The team will rely even more on the defense and ground game but it was Favre that made the ground attack work. Defensively the Skyhawks performed well once again and showed their strong ground defense.

The hobbled JSU offense isn't going to change according to Head Coach Bill Clark who still wants to use the balanced offense regardless of who is taking the snaps under center. The game notes say Max Shortell is going to be back, but expect an extra dose of Troymaine Pope and DaMarcus James.

While the Racers picked up the victory, it was once again an inconsistent offense that kept the Hatch Attack grounded last weekend. Quarterback Maikhail Miller continues to be an interesting part of the offense averaging just over nine yard per completion but the ground game could help the offense and get in rhythm.

Another impressive offensive performance by the Redhawks right? Well it was the special teams taking advantage of poor special teams play that resulted in 14 points for the Redhawks. Still 30 plus points is better than what we saw early in the season.

The quarterback guessing game sees junior Darian Stone return to the field according to the Golden Eagles game notes this week. Even healthy, the conference schedule TTU has gone through is the main reason for the winless start.

Facing the worst defense in the conference, I spoke highly of the Governors and expected much more than I saw. Under 200 yards and now their third different starting quarterback in three games show the Govs haven't given up mentally.
