The calendar turns to November and the time for the final push is upon us. While the list of teams is short for a possible playoff run, we are seeing teams once considered done making noise once again. Do we see the slide of the team that just two weeks ago thought had a chance against the top ranked Panthers? Yes, obviously. Here is your power rankings.

Do we even need to explain our reason for putting the Panthers at the top of the conference anymore? I can’t even harp on the Panthers missing a kick this week.

The Colonels are starting to show why the coaches picked the team second in the preseason poll. Yes it hasn’t been pretty and I wrote the team off but the defense is starting to play the Colonel way.

The Gamecocks are finding ways to overcome injuries at the quarterback position thanks in large part to DaMarcus James who has scored six touchdowns in his last two games against the conference’s lowest tier.

Tigers dependance on the defense has failed the last two weeks and thus the Tigers are tumbling. Much of the preseason expectations revolved around Michael German being the quarterback, but this injury has us wondering what could have been.

The Skyhawks play two quarterbacks but it is Jarod Neal who has taken over thanks in large part to Jeremy Butler who has caught a touchdown in his last five games. The defense has improved as well and the Skyhawks could sneak into the FCS playoffs as an at-large if they can win out.

At the beginning of the season the Racers weakest position we thought was the quarterback and it is showing up right now. Maikhail Miller has thrown an interception in his last four games and is up to 10 on the season making us question what happens next. Selling all shares in the Racers making the FCS playoffs, like there was much bought.

The Golden Eagles have promising talent for the future, but presently they are taking their growing pains. Freshman Jared Davis and sophomore Ladarius Vanlier are great building blocks at least.

Nearly losing to a lower division team equals a drop in power rankings. SEMO has been getting a tremendous season from Paul McRoberts who has eight receiving touchdowns on the year.

Basketball season starts this week, Govs fans. Just turn your attention to it and I won't mind it. I have done the same too and are much higher on the basketball team as well.
