This was quite a win for SEMO, but the Redhawks had to battle for more than 40 minutes against a 4-10 IUPUI team. Not good.

Never mind all that just for now, it was a thrilling finish at the Show Me Center just before the holidays. SEMO won this game because of a football player, think about that for a second. Paul McRoberts, a wide receiver from the football team just joined the basketball team before the Memphis game, and made his debut as a walk-on tonight. His first shot of his college career was a three pointer to tie the game at 72 to force overtime. Unbelievable.

SEMO was able to pull away in overtime for the win, 83-79 in overtime. This team should have beaten Ball State, Illinois-Chicago, and should have beaten IUPUI handily. But they didn’t, and you can’t quite figure this team out right now.

No doubt this would have been the worst loss of the season, but they found a way to win, give them that. Now this team improves to 8-4, feeling a little better heading into the Christmas break.

This Jaguars team played well tonight despite their 4-11 record, missing one free throw all night (25 for 26).

Jarekious Bradley led the way with 27 points for SEMO tonight, and continues his impressive season.

The Redhawks now head at Missouri State next up on Sunday before OVC play begins, which will be an interesting contest.
