It’s always good when you find a way to win, and that’s what SEMO did tonight at home, escaping with the 82-78 win over SIUE. With the win, SEMO improved to 11-9 and 3-4 in OVC play, SIUE dropped to 6-14, 3-4 in OVC. Jarekious Bradley once again led SEMO with 18 points, Tyler Stone followed up with 15.

SEMO was up 50-35 at the half, but SIUE stormed back, as it was a one to two possession game closing in on the final minutes. SIUE was in position to tie or take the lead in the final seconds but had some costly turnovers, while Lucas Nutt and Jarekious Bradley made some clutch free throws to put the game away in the end.

This win was good to get, but Eastern Illinois up next on Saturday for SEMO makes for another must win game. A win puts you back .500 at 4-4 back in the top of the west standings (although Murray State seems to be running away with this thing already) a loss would drop you to 3-5 with three straight conference road games ahead.
