Exactly one week ago Miami (Ohio) Redhawks traveled to Richmond, Ky and knocked off the Eastern Kentucky Colonels. Today the Colonels beat the Redhawks 3-1.
Last Wednesday the Redhawks (18-22) beat the Colonels (20-21) 6-3.
Chad Sedio singled up the middle to score Steve Sada and giving the Redhawks a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Kentucky would rally back in the fifth inning. Doug Teegarden singled through the right side for a two run RBI. Kyle Nowlin would drive in Doug Teegarden to give Eastern Kentucky a 3-1 lead.
Miami (Ohio) would get those runs back in the seventh inning with a Gary Russo RBI double and John Crummy RBI single to tie it up at 3-3.
Sean Hagan would retake the lead for the Colonels with a RBI ground out in the eighth.
Max Andersen would hit a game tying single in the ninth inning to send the game into extra innings.
A Shea Sullivan RBI single in the 13th inning would break the tie and give the Colonels a 5-4 lead.
Miami would counter in their half of the 13th with a Ryan Miller RBI single to extend the game.
Eastern Kentucky would fight right back in the 14th inning. Kenny Hostrander would hit a RBI single and Doug Teegarden would hit a sacrifice fly to give the Colonels a 7-5 victory.
