The summer signing season is here, which means it’s schools final chances to fill their roster for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Bookmark this page, as this list will be updated as we get more signings and information.

Corvon Butler: 6’4 F (sophomore) — featured in video at top of page

Butler has a connection to current Panther Josh Piper, as they both played for Champaign Centennial HS. He hasn’t played in a year, as he was forced to sit out last year due to injury. The good news: Butler has three years eligibility remaining.

As a freshman, Butler hardly played at North Carolina A&T, seeing just 28 minutes the entire season.

Previous schools: Southwestern Illinois C.C. from NC, A&T

Cornell Johnston: 5’7 G (freshman)

He’ll be the smallest guy on the court quite often, but Johnson is coming off a solid senior year in the St. Louis metropolitian area. Johnson averaged 17 points, 9.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game. He dished out 266 assists last year, the most in the area for all classes. Johnston also set the school single-season record for three-pointers made with 69 while connecting on 41 percent of his shots from behind the arc.
