The summer signing season is here, which means it’s schools final chances to fill their roster for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Bookmark this page, as this list will be updated as we get more signings and information.
Twymond Howard: 6’6 Junior
He may be new to the school, but Howard isn’t new to the coaches, playing for current Skyhawk assistant Thomas Gray last season at Southwest Mississippi Community College. Howard was named a 2013-14 NJCAA honorable mention All-American after averaging 15.8 points and 9.8 rebounds a contest last year. He began his collegiate career at the University of Texas-El Paso, where he played in 12 games and averaged 5.6 minutes per game as a true freshman in 2012-13. It was a great get for UTEP at the time, as Howard was rated a four-star recruit by Rivals out of high school.
A few high school highlights are below.
Alex Anderson: 5’11 Junior
Anderson earned 2013-14 NJCAA second team All-American status after averaging 16.7 points, 4.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game at Itawamba Community College. He shot 49.1 percent from the floor,36.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc and 88.9 percent (sixth in the nation) from the free throw line last season. Coming out of high school, Anderson was ranked as one of the top 50 high school players in the state of Tennessee, rounding out his career with over 1,000 points scored to go along with over 500 assists.

CJ Davis: 6’2 Freshman (featured in video at top of the page)
Davis averaged 24 points and six assists a game during his senior season in Phoenix, Ariz., where he played alongside fellow Skyhawk signee Brandon Hitchman. He’s a true three-point threat, knocking down 43 percent of his three-point attempts last season. Davis averaged 20.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor.

Brandon Hitchman: 6’9 Freshman
Hitchman averaged 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists per game at the same Arizona school with CJ Davis. He’s a big man with range, shooting 53 percent from three-point range last season. One would say he’s ‘not from around here’, as Hitchman was born and raised in Britain before coming over to the US to play basketball.

Fatodd Lewis: 6’8 Freshman
A semi-local product out of Memphis, Lewis averaged 23.8 points and 14 rebounds per game on his way to first team Class AA all-state honors at Raleigh-Egypt High School. He went off for 50 points in a November win over Cordova High School. Before this senior year, Lewis was named in the preseason as a top-12 player in the state of Tennessee by recruiting guru Rick Bolus and was one of Tennessee’s McDonald’s All-American nominees.
Arkeem Joseph: 6’9 Sophmore
At Monroe college, Joseph spend much of the year battling for playing time. He shot 56% from the field, averaging 8.9 points over 15 minutes a game. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds a contest.
Richard Lee: 6’4 freshman
A three-star prospect, Lee wrapped up his prep career averaging 19 points per game last season at Northeast High School. The year before, Lee helped Blanche Ely High School win Florida’s Class 7A state title, averaging 17 points, four rebounds and three assists per game. Those numbers were remarkably consistent all four years: He averaged 16 points, six rebounds and four assists per game as a sophomore. As a freshman in 2010-11, he averaged 18 points, four rebounds and five assists per game.
