Former Belmont University men’s basketball All-American guard Ian Clark will play for the Utah Jazz in the 2014 NBA Vegas Summer League.
The Memphis, Tenn. native appeared in 23 games for the Jazz this past season, averaging 3.0 points per game on 36 percent three-point shooting.
Last July, Clark capped his NBA Summer League for the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors with a seven three-pointer, 33-point outburst en route to Vegas Summer League Championship Game Most Valuable Player honors.
Clark spent recent weeks in Nashville, reuniting with former Belmont teammates and coaches during training sessions and pickup games in the Curb Event Center.
Clark told belmontbruins.com that he is “feeling good” and that he is excited to rejoin his Jazz teammates.
The Jazz open NBA Vegas Summer League Saturday, July 12 against Philadelphia. Tip-off is set for 9:30 p.m. CT, with coverage on NBA TV and NBA.com.
Utah will then play Milwaukee Monday (9:30 p.m. CT) and Denver Tuesday (7:30 p.m. CT), before the format shifts to tournament play.
