Univeristy of Louisiville running back Michael Dyer is likely out for this Saturday’s matchup against the Racers. According to the Courier-Journal, Dyer, who suffered a thigh contusion, will likely be out until next week.
Dyer sat out of Louisville’s 31-13 win over Miami on Monday.
“I don’t think he’s going to be ready this weekend, either,” head coach Bobby Petrino told the paper. “Right now we’re focusing on getting him ready for Virginia, unless something here in the next 48 hours makes a huge stride.”
According to the paper, “Dyer (5-9, 214) is considered a smaller, quicker and speedier alternative to 6-2, 233-pound power back Dominique Brown.” Brown ran for 143 yards and a touchdown in a dominating win Monday night against Miami.
