There wasn’t a lot that went Jacksonville State’s way in last weekend’s blowout loss to Michigan State, but not every one of the Spartans was happy following last week’s loss. Michigan State quarterback Conner Cook took a low hit in the first quarter, and still isn’t happy about it.
“I thought it was a pretty bad cheap shot,” Cook told ESPN.com. “I’ve seen a lot of hits, growing up, watching TV and stuff like that. I’ve never seen a hit like that, so low and so late. I thought it was a really dirty hit. But I’m glad things aren’t as bad as it looked.”

Cook would limp off the field after the hit, but didn’t miss any plays. The hit by Jacksonville State safety Folo Johnson did draw a flag and a 15-yard penalty. You can see the play below, and judge for yourself.
