Former Tennessee State star Robert Covington will no longer be with the Houston Rockets, according to a report from RealGM. According to the site, Houston is “listening” to trade interest, but plan on releasing the forward.

It appears likely Covington will land on another NBA team. RealGM reports that the Rockets are impressed with Covington’s development…just not impressed enough to keep him.

Covington averaged 23.2 points and 9.2 rebounds in the NBA Development League last season, earning All-Star Game MVP, Rookie of the Year and the All-First team honors. He also played in seven games with the Rockets, seeing limited minutes.
