So on the same day we lament about Jarekious Bradley’s health woes in naming him our number three player in the OVC for the upcoming season, we find out he’ll miss at least the first two games of the year. Erin Understall with the Southeast Missourian is reporting the Bradley won’t even travel with the team to the LMU Classic in Los Angeles this weekend.
Bradley did not play in either of the Redhawks two exhibition games.
The 6’5 senior left two games early last year due to knee injuries, and has surgery this summer on a wrist injury he played with at least during the last month of the 2013-14 season. This injury is unrelated to both of those: it’s being described as a severe thigh bruise.
Bradley is the Redhawks top returning scorer, averaging 19.0 points a game last season.
After returning from the West Coast, SEMO hosts a lower Division team in Hannibal-LaGrange next Tuesday. They’ll travel to Central Arkansas the following Sunday.
