Morehead State swept the season series, handing Tennessee State only their second loss at home on the season. Morehead State is locked as the 5th seed in next week’s OVC Tournament. Tennessee State is locked as the 4th seed. The teams will meet again in the quarterfinals if Morehead State gets past their first round opponent. Read More

Late Spurt pushes Morehead State past Tennessee Tech

Junior Chad Posthumus and sophomore Angelo Warner scored in the final minute on Saturday night at Johnson Arena to help the Morehead State men’s basketball team post a 65-63 victory over Ohio Valley Conference foe Tennessee Tech.

The Eagles improve to 13-14 overall, 7-6 in OVC action and 10-4 at home. The Golden Eagles slip to 9-16 on the campaign, 3-10 in league play and 3-12 on the road. MSU also improves to 76-62 in the all-time series with its 11th win over TTU in the past 12 games. Read More

The Belmont men’s basketball team recorded 55 first-half points en route to a 93-74 Ohio Valley Conference victory over Morehead State on Thursday evening at Curb Event Center.

The Bruins improve to 18-4 overall, 9-0 in league action and 9-0 at home with their ninth consecutive win, while the Eagles slip to 11-12 on the campaign, 5-4 in conference play and 3-9 on the road. Read More

Sophomore Angelo Warner poured in a career-high 24 points and the Morehead State men’s basketball team knocked down 88 percent of its free-throw attempts en route to a 78-69 victory over Tennessee State on Saturday evening at Johnson Arena.

The Eagles improve to 11-11 overall, 5-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference and 8-3 at home with their sixth win in the past nine games. The Tigers slip to 12-10 on the season, 6-3 in league play and 3-9 on the road with their third straight loss after winning seven in a row. Read More
