Morehead adds LSU transfer Jalen Courtney

Jalen Courtney, who has spent the past three seasons at LSU, is transferring to Morehead State for his senior year. Courtney will sit out in 2013-14 and be eligible to play in 2014-15.

Courtney, a 6-foot-8 post player, played in 51 career games at LSU. He averaged 2.1 points and 2.1 rebounds for the Tigers in 2012-13. Courtney tallied career highs of 14 points and seven rebounds. Read More

Another OT loss as Morehead drops to Oakland

Junior Travis Bader poured in a game-best 27 points and the Oakland (Mich.) men’s basketball team posted an 82-79 overtime victory over Morehead State on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics Center O’rena.

The Golden Grizzlies improve to 16-14 overall and 10-1 at home, while the Eagles fall to 13-16 on the season and 3-11 on the road. It was the first meeting between the two schools in the final Ramada Worldwide BracketBusters event. Read More
