After a wild out-of-conference schedule for Jacksonville State, head coach Bill Clark hosted his first OVC game against up-and-comer Murray State. Last year’s matchup was a 38-35 win for JSU, and history said the Gamecocks would win again. Unfortunately for Jax State, the Racers skipped their History 101 classes and gave coach Clark’s new staff a rude welcome to the Ohio Valley Conference.
Three conference games, headlined by the preseason Game of the Year, are on tap for Saturday’s action. While it’s just game one for six OVC teams, every conference game is important for teams looking toward a postseason appearance. Along with the OVC games, we see our last non conference games.
