Tennessee State’s active signing season continues to roll on today, as the Tigers have added 6’7″ forward Ugo Celestine, according to Rivals.com writer Dan McDonald. Celestine will be a true freshman for the Tigers in the fall, after playing his prep ball at Greenforest Christian Academy.

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, former Gophers quarterback Max Shortell has decided to transfer to Jacksonville State. According to the paper, Shortell tweeted his intentions on Thursday.

Tennessee Tech has announced their first pickup of the spring, Prime Prep Academy guard Shirmane Thomas.
Rated as a three-star prospect by ESPN, Thomas was well regarded because of his tenacity on the court and ability to defend. The 6-2, 175-pound guard from Dallas, Texas chose Tech over other offers from Wichita State, Creighton, Nebraska, North Texas, Nevada, Santa Clara, and Tulsa.

The 6’1″ Moore played his freshman season at Blinn Junior College in Texas, averaging 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game for a team that advanced to the first round of the regional tournament.
